Bump Map
Important! |
|
Ragbash's bump map is provided in jpeg format. This saves on file size for speedier download. Poser Pro Pack will utilise the jpeg automatically. If you are using Poser 4, you will need to convert to .BUM format. Actually, Poser 4 will convert it for you, so it's not as difficult as it might sound.
Load Ragbash. Click on Render>materials. Tick the checkbox for "Texture changes apply to entire figure". Go to the bump map dialogue and click on "Load". Navigate to Poser\Runtime\Textures\Curio's Creatures. Select the file ragbash-bump.jpeg. (This file will appear as though it's already loaded). Poser will ask if you'd like the file converted to .BUMP format. Select OK.

Positioning Teeth |
|
You may find Ragbash's lower teeth protruding through his upper lip when using various combinations of morphs.
They can be adjusted by using the "jaw-narrow" morph (second image), or a plus or minus value with "jaw-overbite" (third image).

Tusks |
|
It's necessary to use "jaw-overbite" with the "tusks" morph when the mouth needs to be closed. The "tusks" morph pushes a depression into the upper lip, to accomodate the lengthened tusks. If "jaw overbite" isn't used at all, then the tusk and depression won't align. These were going to be one single morph to make that heavy jawed look. I decided to make them two independant morphs however, to allow more flexibilty.

Eyes |
|
Ragbash's eyes have a complete internal structure. This means that internal specularity off the iris is possible, as well as the external reflection and highlight off the lens itself. (If you are using another application that allows more control over materials such as Bryce, you can have internal reflection on the eye ball also, and refraction on the lens ("eye-trans").
The interior of the eye has it's own material, so natural "red-eye" effects are simply a case of changing the material colour ("pupil"). This works for glowing, demonic eye's too!

Poses |
|
Ragbash's pose library contains 6 handy trollish poses. The poses include morph channels for the head, so if you are going to be adjusting the head morphs, make sure you apply the pose FIRST. Otherwise, any morphs you have adjusted will be lost. |
