Corrugated Iron

|
Corrugated Iron is a mainstay of the "derelict" scene. You can use it all over the place! You can apply it to flat surfaces for an effective illusion, provided you can't see the corrugated edge. If you want to create real three dimensional corrugated sheets, see below. |

Who owns this charming little residence I wonder? The 3D sheet of corrugated iron was created using the Alpha Map supplied with this pack. Apply the alpha map to a high resolution terrain. Now squash the terrain almost flat. Apply the Corrugated Iron texture to the terrain's material, in diffuse, ambient and bump. Make sure it's mapped parametrically and at a scale of 0%. This will create a small sheet of corrugated iron. To make a larger piece, copy and paste the terrain and tile it in 3D space. Because the texture and the terrain map tile, the duplicate terrains will fit together seamlessly. |
